We made a great start on the two gateway sites (see the article in the Midhurst Observer) and we are now planning two parallel working parties this Saturday morning to progress the sites.
Thanks to the amazing efforts of our volunteers a fortnight ago we are ready to start planting up the ‘Angel Square’ site at the bottom of Sheepdown Drive this Saturday. Please join Lorraine there from 9am onwards if you would like to be involved in planting this area. There will be roses, grasses and lots of bulbs and if you have any spare Aquilegias to fill in the gaps please do bring them along!
Due to the slightly trickier terrain there is still further preparation work to do at the ‘Midhurst Road’ site on the A272 near the cricket/football pitch entrance, so if you fancy a bit more of a work out please join me (Judith) there from 9am onwards. There is still some turf lifting and digging over to be done, please don’t leave me to do it on my own!!
If you can help, please wear study boots and gloves, and bring a spade and/or fork if possible.
We are always very grateful for whatever support you can provide and a few words of encouragement are always welcome if you have chance to pop by to see how we’re doing!
We hope to see you on Saturday!
With best regards,
Judith and Mike
