10.00am - 5.00pm
Vehicles will be visiting the Museum as part of the 29th London to Brighton Classic car run, and 17th Kit & Sports car run. The cars will start their day at the historic Brooklands racing circuit, and make their way down to the south coast.
Watch the cars arrive on their stop at the Museum, while taking a break some will exhibit their vehicles for the afternoon before continuing on their journey to Brighton. Also enjoy our steam days with our resident steam trains riding the railway around the site.
With 36 acres to explore and over 40 exhibits to visit, there is so much to discover, learn and have fun at Amberley Museum. The Museum is dedicated to preserving the industrial heritage of the South East. Exhibits include our communications building, electricity hall, working printshop, and the lime kilns which date back to when the site was a working chalk quarry. The Museum is also home to traditional crafts people such as the wheelwrights and blacksmith. You can also take a ride on the narrow gauge railway and historic buses to explore around the museum.
We have our own on-site café serving hot and cold food, and picnic areas around the site. The Museum is accessibility friendly and dogs are also welcome on site but must be kept on a lead at all times. We have been awarded the Kennel Club ‘Best Dog Friendly Attraction Award’ for Days Out 2016.
