After the success of last year’s Stopham Festival they are delighted to be holding the event again this year. Last year’s festival was in aid of the restoration for the historic stain glass window in the church. The window dates back to 1630 and was made by Roeland Flemish. The window is being successfully restored and all being well will be back on display for this year’s festival. This year the festival hopes to raise more money towards other church restorations.
Stopham is a charming traditional English village where time has stood still. The village has been largely protected from waves of development and retail shops, with no more than 40 houses and just over 80 residents. The beautiful location of the village really is a step back in time and the quaint church still holds regular traditional mass.
