Anthony Short first opened an antiques gallery 10 years ago in Antwerp, following his father’s footsteps, who has been in the antiques trade for more than 40 years.
Antiquated Antiques specialise in decorative antique furniture including English French and Scandinavian original painted furniture such as antique linen presses, corner cupboards, dressers, serving tables, chairs, boxes and mirrors. They also offer a great range of antique rocking horses and upholster sofas and chairs.
Artful Teasing is a family run company selling toiletries and skin care products from their shop in Petworth, West Sussex. A calm haven from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, they stock all things fragrant and beautiful.
Alongside their own cosmetic line, they stock brands including: Czech & Speake colgnes, Lampe Berger room fragrance, Durance en Provence home fragrance and Eau de Toilettes, Dr Vranges diffusers and perfume, Edwin Jagger men’s grooming accoutrements, Helen Moore faux fur slipper boots and hot water bottles, Caro London cotton kimonos make-up bags and wash bags.

Owner Colin is a skin care expert and cosmetic chemist who formulates all the store’s own-brand lotions, creams and washes which are all made locally in Sussex. His wife Kate loves all things fragrant and creates the natural perfumes used to scent their products.
Artful Teasing supply prestige establishments with hand wash, hand lotion and bedroom toiletries. Customers include Goodwood, 1 Michelin starred Mr Underhill’s in Ludlow, 2 Michelin starred Hand & Flowers in Marlow and Pennsylvania Castle on the Isle of Portland.
Situated at the southern end of the town with convenient access directly from the main public car park, Augustus Brandt is an impressive showroom set in the inspirational surroundings of the Grade II listed, Newlands House.
With over 17 rooms to explore you will discover a collaboration of creativity and carefully curated objets, bridging antique and contemporary furniture, artworks and collectables. The building is also home to a wonderful retail shop selling a range of objects from renowned London designers, including Linley we well as dinnerware, crystal glassware, childrens toys and even pet accessories.
In addition the company create a range of bespoke furniture from statement dining tables to lighting and home accessories.

David Swanson Antiques is run by David Swanson, one of UK’s best-known dealers in 17th & 18th century oak and country furniture. He has been established in Petworth for 25 years. Over this period he has been fortunate enough to assist in creation of some excellent collections of oak furniture, cottage antiques, tavern furniture and country furniture.
David’s fascinating antiques shop in Petworth supplies antique furniture, including old English oak and country furniture, continental antiques and oriental sculptures. The antiques in stock usually also include pine antiques, period pine, 18th century pine, early English ironworks and pine furniture.
