Badgers is a privately owned freehouse nestled in the heart of the South Downs. Run for the past 22 years by Jules Arlette and her friendly team, they endeavour to make sure your visit to Petworth is as pleasurable as possible.

They offer a wide range of beers, wines and spirits and because they are a freehouse, they have no constraints imposed by a brewery and offer real ales – which the locals have a big say in choosing. The Angel Inn is just 300 yards from Golden Square in the centre of Petworth. The inn, which has medieval origins, has recently undergone a complete refurbishment.
