9 - 10 MARCH
9.15am - 4.00pm
Join illustrator Naomi Howarth for a two day emersion into the world of Eric Ravilious, renowned for his watercolours of landscapes and quietly observed scenes of domesticity. Ravilious’ legacy continues to influence artists and illustrators today.
Naomi will guide students through the art of setting up their own still life, and assist them with colour, composition and perspective. Techniques covered will include stretching paper, washes, stippling, and the use of masking fluid. Students will leave with a finished watercolour, and the grounding to continue developing their own style. Bring any objects you might like to paint; including crockery, ornaments, examples of patterns, as well as foraged flora and fauna. This course will build on the skills learnt on Naomi’s first course last November but will be suitable for all levels.
Price: £200. To include all materials and lunch in the main house. For more information and what to bring click here.
