Alison will lead a second workshop where students can release their inhibitions working and responding to the landscape in the open air. She will generously share her repertoire of techniques including her dynamic approach to using inks. Students will learn ways to introduce light and atmosphere into their landscapes and layering effects to create depth and perspective. The course will broaden your range of skills and encourage a fresh and experimental approach to landscape painting, come prepared to really engage with these techniques and push your boundaries. Suitable for all levels.
Alison is best known for her atmospheric paintings of seascapes and landscapes. She has regular painting trips to Cornwall, inspired by its dramatic coastlines, which provide a great source of inspiration. She is an experienced tutor and has exhibited widely at The Royal College of Art, London and at various art fairs, with exhibitions in South East England, London, Guernsey & Portugal. We are delighted to welcome her as a new tutor to the gallery. www.alisonorchard.com
