DESCRIPTION:13 SEPTEMBER – 8 NOVEMBER 2025 \nWe are delighted to announce the opening of our new exhibition ‘CENTURY OF CHANGE: Art Across Two Continents’. \nThis exhibition explores the development of art throughout the 20th century\, highlighting the rich exchange of ideas and influences between America and Europe. \nOn display are works by early American Impressionists such as William Samuel Horton and Richard Hayley Lever\, shown alongside Post-Impressionist and Surrealist pieces by Salvador Dalí\, Ginés Parra\, and Pierre Noury. The exhibition also features a striking selection of Art Deco works by Erte and Jean Dupas\, offering a vivid glimpse into a century of artistic innovation. \nOpening Reception \nOpening this Saturday 13th September 10 – 4pm \nDrinks will be served from 12 – 2pm \nGallery Hours\nOpen daily (except Sunday) 10:00am – 4:00pm \nThe exhibition runs until 8th November \nWe look forward to welcoming you.

SUMMARY:A Christmas Enchantment at Petworth House
DESCRIPTION:29 NOVEMBER 2025 to 4 JANUARY 2026.  \nClosed 24 and 25 December. \n10.30am–4.00pm \nThe garden and main car park close at 5pm \nAt peak busy times you may need to queue to enter the house. This is to reduce congestion so the visit is more enjoyable for all. \nThis Christmas\, wander through grand state rooms that invite stillness\, spark imagination\, and gently reconnect us with the quiet beauty of winter. \nA Christmas Enchantment draws from the landscape of Petworth’s park and gardens\, the artworks in the collection\, and the spirit of conservation. Each room glows with wonder: celestial skies\, roaming woodland creatures\, towering trees\, and spaces to pause and reflect. Mice scurry beneath gilded furniture\, foxes watch from shadowed corners\, and the stars themselves seem to whisper of returning light. \nOn Saturday 29 November and Saturday 20 December you can experience the festive atmosphere of Petworth House after dark\, with sparkling lights and a courtyard choir marking the turning of the season. A chance to enjoy the house’s winter transformation in a new light. The House will be open until 6.30pm (last entry at 6pm)\, with a choir performing at 5.30pm. \nOn Saturday 29 and Sunday 30 November there will be a Christmas makers market in the Battery House and Exhibition Room selling festive gifts\, held in partnership with Petworth Pop-up. \n
