SUMMARY:Lee Miller & Picasso at Newlands House Gallery
DESCRIPTION:10 SEPTEMBER 2022 – 8 JANUARY 2023 \nWednesday – Saturday 10am-5pm \nSunday 11am-4pm \nLee Miller & Picasso is now open at Newlands House Gallery to 8th January 2023\, the exhibition will focus on the artist’s relationship with Picasso and moments lived together\, captured by Miller before and during the Second World War\, the aftermath and beyond. The exhibition will also tell the unlikely story of Picasso’s accidental discovery of Sussex\, where Lee Miller would eventually reside with her family. \nIn the intimacy of a converted Georgian townhouse\, Newlands House sits at the centre of Sussex’s burgeoning cultural scene\, spanning museums\, art centres\, festivals\, vineyards\, nature trails and stately homes. Since opening in March 2020 with a tribute to Helmut Newton\, the gallery has exhibited the work of some of the world’s greatest artists from the 20th and 21st centuries\, including Ron Arad\, Joan Miró\, Sean Scully\, Liliane Tomasko\, Julian Opie and Frank Auerbach. \n \nEvent URL: https://newlandshouse.gallery/exhibitions/lee-miller-and-picasso/ \nTickets URL: https://www.tickettailor.com/events/newlandshousegallery/729931/

SUMMARY:Mark Simmons + Paul Revill - Petworth Sessions
DESCRIPTION:10 NOVEMBER 2022 \n8.00pm – 10.30pm \n\n\n\n\nQuip Off The Mark \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nMark is an exceptional one-line comedian. It won him a place in Dave’s prestigious Best Joke of The Fringe in Edinburgh 2019 (& 2017). \nHis solo show at the festival\, One-Linerer was also a huge hit\, with sell out shows every day and was nominated Best Show by the Amused Moose Comedy \nAward Fringe Show. He then continued this success with his follow-up show\, One-Linererer\, also a sell out! \nMark is being supported by Petworth favourite\, (all the way from Bedford) Paul Revill. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nPetworth is extremely lucky to grab a date in Mark’s ‘Quip Off The Mark’ national tour\, selling out from Leicester Square to Cardiff. \n‘Master of one-liners…his (show) consist(s) of literally one liner after one liner\, with one or two breaks for the audience to catch their breath before another \nassault on the laughter and muscles with the next segment.’ One4Review ★★★★★ \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n‘Absolutely hilarious.’ The Scotsman ★★★★
