    Petworth Library Petworth

    See “Little Switzerland”, as the locals call the beautiful Shimmings Valley (east side of Petworth). A lovely but quite strenuous walk.

  • A Tour of Petworth House Tunnels and Ice House

    Petworth House

    This 45 minutes tour of the underground world of Petworth House will be led by committee Member Ian Yonge who is also a tour guide at the House.

  • History Walk in Petworth Park

    Petworth Park Petworth

    This history walk in the Park takes two hours.  The pace is easy and involves only one steep but shortish climb.  We will  see and hear about all the main historic sites, how the Park has grown, how its use has changed over the centuries and about the personalities who have shaped it.

  • Petworth Society Talk

    Leconfield Hall

    Miles Costello will present a fully illustrated talk on Petworth during a time of significant national changes and events, and how these impacted and were reflected in a small country town.
