The Sylvia Beaufoy Centre was formed as a charitable trust in the 1960’s to provide inclusive and enriching activities for young people from Petworth and surrounding villages.
Thanks to a legacy from Sylvia Beaufoy, the PYA has a fantastic building – the Sylvia Beaufoy Centre – where young people can meet. The Centre is currently open for young people for 3 evening sessions each week.
We provide open “drop-in” sessions, an opportunity to be part of the highly successful Greenpower Electric Car Project and a more activity based “Evolve” youth club for young people in school years 5-7.
Our centre has some fantastic facilities including a games room (air hockey, pool, table tennis, table football), sports room, lounge and kitchen areas. The centre is also available for hire for members of the public outside of the youth club opening hours.
The Trustees are particularly interested in encouraging activities at the Centre which are of benefit for the wider local community. Please contact us for more information on hiring the centre.
The Sylvia Beaufoy Centre is a UK Registered Charity no 1187451
