We are excited to show a selection of beautiful and engaging European paintings, mainly by European artists, including the very elegant charcoal drawing by Jean Dupas. This grand work on paper by the French art deco master depicts a procession dedicated to the celebration of love. Venus sits serenely in her chariot surrounded by putti and maidens. Dupas is best known for designing the opulent interior of the SS Normandy, the most luxurious ocean liner in the golden age of sea travel between the wars.
