Petworth Fringe Comedy – Mike Gunn, Mark Maier, David Eagle & Dinesh Nathan
May 5, 2022 @ 8:00 pm - 10:30 pm UTC+0

5 MAY 2022
8.00pm – 10.30pm
Mike Gunn’s history is as interesting and entertaining as his comedy. A mis-spent youth and a series of grim jobs cultivated
his cynical outlook on life and a perverse desire led him to the world of stand-up. A self-confessed pessimist, he describes himself as “not a natural
choice for a career in laughter”. He has a rare ability to walk close to the line of what audiences find acceptable and yet still remain likeable and
funny. His reputation for being a bit unfriendly, a touch dark and even morose is really not true. In real life he’s loving, warm and philanthropic. Just a bit misunderstood.
“One of the 10 leading stand-ups in Britain” – Independent on Sunday
“Mike Gunn will make you die laughing” – The Guardian
Finalist of the British Comedian of the Year Mark Maier is an established and highly sought after performer on
style=”white-space: pre-wrap;”>both the national and international comedy circuits. Mark has also appeared in Harry Hill The Movie and in various cameo roles in the series Harry Hill’s Tea Time. He has also taught and performed improvisation with Catherine Tate in London and has had a
string of successful radio series as both writer and performer.
David Eagle is perhaps our first comedian who would be equally at home in the Comedy and Music Sessions. As well as winning

Dinesh Nathan is a hilarious British Sri Lankan comedian, who, after a performing stint at the age of eight, as Willy Wonka in
Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, has returned to the stage 20 years later. He won South Coast Comedian Of The Year 2019 and was a finalist at the
Komedia New Act Competition 2020 and the coveted Leicester Mercury Comedian Of The Year competition. Described as a “mix of high-spirited delivery with a
sarcastic, self-deprecating viewpoint”, he was named “one to watch” by Brighton Fringe Review.
