5 events, Paula Rego: Visions of English Literature presents a major body of work by one of the most significant figurative artists of the late 20th and early 21st centuries. Developed by Hayward Gallery Touring, the exhibition explores Rego’s lifelong engagement with storytelling and literature through the medium of printmaking.  Towering sculptures by renowned ceramicist Felicity Aylieff are being exhibited for the first time at Petworth House and Park.  Sculptural furniture by one of Britain's most celebrated contemporary designer-makers, Marc Fish, will be presented at a solo exhibition at Newlands House Gallery this summer.  We are delighted to invite you to The Collector's Edit: Exceptional Works Under £1,000, a special summer exhibition opening this Saturday 1 August. Petworth has much to offer to the visitor. Petworth House is home to a wonderful collection of paintings including local scenes by JMW Turner, the extensive Petworth Park laid out by Capability Brown in the 18th century with its herds of roaming deer around the lakes. There also are festivals, fairs and markets all year long – the list is endless.
